Community Guidelines

Gabble is for hanging out with friends and finding your people. These guidelines apply everywhere on Gabble: servers, DMs, group chats, profiles and community cosmetics.

Be a good person to hang out with

Disagreements happen. Treat people the way you would want to be treated, and if a conversation is going badly, step away, block or report.

No harassment or hate

  • Do not bully, threaten, stalk or repeatedly bother people.
  • Do not attack people for their race, ethnicity, religion, nationality, gender, sexual orientation, disability or other parts of who they are.
  • Do not organize pile-ons or raids against people or servers.

No sexual or NSFW content

Gabble does not allow sexual content, nudity or NSFW material anywhere, including in servers, DMs, avatars, banners and cosmetics. Anything that sexualizes minors is banned immediately and reported to the authorities.

No violence or self-harm promotion

  • Do not threaten violence or celebrate it.
  • Do not encourage self-harm or suicide. If someone is struggling, be kind, and point them to the help on our Safety Center.
  • No gore or shock content.

No spam, scams or hacking

  • No spam, mass DMs, fake giveaways or "free stuff" links.
  • No phishing, account stealing, malware or token grabbers.
  • Do not try to break Gabble, get around limits or access accounts that are not yours.

Respect privacy

  • Do not share other people's private information (like their address, phone number or real name) without permission.
  • Do not post private messages or screenshots to embarrass or harm someone.

Be yourself

  • Do not pretend to be another person, a brand or Gabble staff.
  • Do not use alternate accounts to get around a ban, mute or block.

Do not use Gabble for anything illegal, like selling drugs or weapons, sharing pirated content, or gambling with real money.

Servers have their own rules too

Server owners can add their own rules on top of these. If a server's rules conflict with ours, ours win. Server owners should moderate their communities and use AutoMod to help.

What happens if you break them

Depending on how serious it is, we may remove content, warn you, mute you, remove your servers or ban your account. Some things, like content that harms children, get an instant ban. See our Terms for how to appeal.

See something? Report it

Open the menu on a message, profile or server (right-click, or the three-dot menu on a phone) and choose Report. Reports are private, and the person is not told who reported them. More tips are on the Safety Center.
